INDIANAPOLIS — The latest drought monitor came out Thursday morning, expanding the moderate drought conditions farther east and south of Indianapolis compared to last week's footprint.

Thankfully, central Indiana will record rain at times this weekend. Right now, Indianapolis has a departure of nearly five inches from normal rainfall since June 1.
With chances of rain Friday evening, Sunday and Monday, some areas could pick up around 1" to 2" of rain.
