INDIANAPOLIS — Clouds will gradually increase this afternoon into the evening, ahead of the next system. Wind will be out of the south-southwest from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts around 20 to 25 mph.
Afternoon highs will climb into the low 50s.
Scattered showers will be around early Thursday morning, with temperatures only falling into the low 50s.
Thursday will be a wet and breezy day, with afternoon highs near normal, climbing into the low to mid 60s.
Central Indiana could use the rain, as the Drought Monitor has all of central Indiana under a moderate drought.
Indianapolis has only recorded 2.9 inches of rain since September 1st. The normal height this time of year is 4.87 inches, putting Indianapolis in a -1.97 departure.
Rain totals will be from a tenth of an inch to over a quarter of an inch.
