INDIANAPOLIS — It'll be noticeably more muggy today with dew points in the low 70s which puts the muggy meter in the "miserable" zone.
Sunshine continues with temperatures climbing a few degrees warmer than yesterday with highs nearing the 90-degree mark. Staying mild this evening with temperatures slowly dropping through the 80s and eventually into the upper 60s overnight.
Temperatures will continue to warm for the Labor Day holiday with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 90s.
This pattern will begin to break down on Tuesday. Ahead of a cold front, scattered storms will be possible with the heat of the day. There will still be lots of dry time as temperatures top out near 90.
The frontal boundary is set to move through Wednesday. Temperatures approach the upper 80s ahead of increasing shower and storm chances Wednesday afternoon. At this point, storms are not expected to be severe. Rain chances end on the backside of the front Wednesday evening as a less humid air mass takes over.
Sunshine returns as well as more seasonal temperatures Thursday with highs in the low 80s. This sunny and pleasant pattern continues through the start of next weekend.
