INDIANAPOLIS — Clouds quickly clear this morning allowing for another sunny afternoon. The combination of sunshine and strong southwest wind gusts up to 35 mph at times will push temperatures into the mid-to-upper 50s.
Another weak wave will roll through overnight bringing back a few clouds and a stray shower possible, mainly south on Monday. Temperatures hold steady in the upper 30s. The pattern stays quiet and unseasonally mild to start the work week. Highs will be in the mid 50s Monday with a mix of sun and clouds.
A weak cold front arrives early Tuesday and it will bring a few showers early, plus a slight drop in temperatures. Highs will still be above average, though, near the 50° mark.
We'll get back into the mid-60s on Wednesday, but this comes with our next weather system that brings rain and a few storms into central Indiana.
We'll still be on the warm side of this weather system on Thursday with temperatures pushing the upper 60s during the first part of the day before a strong cold front arrives late in the day. This front comes along with strong wind gusts of 40+ mph.
That means the cold air is back starting Friday with morning lows in the 20s and highs struggling to reach the 40° mark in the afternoon.
