INDIANAPOLIS — We're headed into an unseasonably quiet and mild stretch over the next several days. A dome of high pressure is blocking a wet and stormy system to our south which keeps our skies clear and allows warmer weather to push into central Indiana.
Look for plenty of sunshine Saturday with highs in the mid-40s.
With a partly cloudy sky overnight, temperatures fall into the upper 20s Sunday morning. After a cold start, sunshine will prevail again on Sunday as temperatures climb 10-15° above average in the low 50s.
Sunday might be warm enough for some to fire up the grill and do some tailgating ahead of the big game. Skies stay clear through the evening as temperatures fall back into the 40s locally.
The forecast is clear out in Arizona with sunshine, a brisk breeze, and temperatures in the mid-70s at kickoff for the Eagles vs. Chiefs.
Dry and unseasonably mild weather continues into the first part of next week with highs in the low 50s with a mix of sun and clouds. Our next rain chance arrives late Tuesday through early Wednesday. Temperatures will then surge into the 60s Wednesday afternoon. We'll still be in the 60s on Thursday as our next widespread system brings rain and storms.
As the rain exits late Thursday night, much colder air returns with temperatures falling back into the mid-20s to start the day Friday and highs only near 30.
