Fair weather clouds will develop during the warmest part of the day.

INDIANAPOLIS — Summer-time heat and humidity dominate the forecast into mid-week next week.

OVERNIGHT:

Skies clear out as the sun sets and temperatures drop back into the low 60s overnight. Some patchy fog will once again be possible with calm winds and clear skies.

Sunday kicks off the warmest stretch

Look for highs in the mid to upper 80s tomorrow. Fair weather clouds and stray pop-up storms will again be possible late in the day, especially across the northern tier of the state closer to a stalled boundary.

Monday looks mainly dry with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the mid 80s. As our next weather system approaches on Tuesday, we'll see a more unsettled set-up bringing a chance of pop-up showers and storms, especially in the evening. Temperatures will still top out in the mid 80s as we sit on the "warm side" of this system.

Wednesday will be the most active day next week as a cold front prompts more widespread shower and storm chances. A few strong to severe storms can't be ruled out. Behind the front on Thursday, temperatures will be more seasonal and the humidity level drops.
