INDIANAPOLIS — We have some big weather swings coming our way, from a quick coating of snow to near 70° and severe storms early next week.
Rain and snow showers arrive after 9 p.m. The steadiest snow will fall from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Most of central Indiana will get a quick coating of snow. An inch or so is possible north and east of Indianapolis. Stay weather aware and be prepared for a few slick roads early Saturday.
It will be much colder too with Saturday morning wind chills in the high single digits and teens.
Saturday afternoon will be sunny with highs in the upper 30s.
Highs on Sunday are forecast 20 degrees warmer and in the middle 50s.
Near record warmth of 65 to 70 degrees is in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday will be a day to stay weather aware too with the threat of severe weather. After a stormy start on Wednesday, temperatures will fall and skies will clear. We do have some sunshine on the way for Thursday and Friday, but it will be cooler and in the 40s.
