INDIANAPOLIS — It has turned out to be both foggy and soggy in Indiana this morning. Some of you with small children may have to arrange short-term child care with many districts expected to delay the start of school today.
Fog visibility readings have been between zero and a half-mile all morning long, and that combined with rain means drivers need to be aware and perhaps get an early start. The pattern is such that a constant flow of air from the Gulf moves in here with the rain, and because of saturated ground and very little wind, it is perfect weather for the development of fog.
That's the bad news.
The good news is that the high today will be 50 degrees, the warmest since Dec. 26 of last year. Our mild, wet and foggy trend will continue for a while. Tomorrow, the high will reach 52 and with only a slight chance for a shower but fog remaining. We will warm up to 46 Friday.
