INDIANAPOLIS — We've got a slight warming trend in store for today with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Grab your sunglasses if you're headed downtown for the 5 p.m. tipoff between the Pacers and the Magic as skies remain clear with plenty of sunshine.
Our next weather system will start to move in tomorrow but will first bring increasing clouds overnight and scattered showers moving in during the first part of the day. Scattered showers will then be possible during the day hindering high temperatures to the low 50s Monday afternoon.
More widespread, heavy rain becomes likely overnight lasting through the first part of the day Tuesday.
Scattered showers will then be possible as central Indiana sits in the "warm sector" of this storm system Tuesday afternoon. This will allow temperatures to recover to the mid-50s despite the clouds and rain. This system departs Tuesday evening as a cold front sweeps through. Most areas see 0.50 to 0.75" of total rainfall out of this system.
Temperatures fall behind this front for Wednesday with highs only in the low to mid-40s with a mix of sun and clouds. We've got a sunny and seasonal setup for Thanksgiving Day with highs in the low 50s.
The forecast is looking good for Downtown Indy Inc.'s Circle of Lights presented by IBEW 481 slated to begin at 6 p.m. Friday. Look for partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid- to upper 40s Friday afternoon falling into the upper 30s during the show.
The pattern will become slightly more unsettled heading into next weekend. Precipitation chances look relatively low at this point, but temperatures are trending cooler with highs only in the 40s.
