INDIANAPOLIS — It's been a wet 24 hours with many spots in central Indiana seeing 0.50-0.75 inches total of rainfall (as of 9 a.m. Sunday).
As this storm system continues to push east, we'll still see lingering rain with a wintry mix north through midday. This system tapers off after the lunch hour with cloudy skies and temperatures holding steady in the mid to upper 30s this afternoon.
It also stays breezy today with northwesterly wind gusts up to 35 mph possible. Winds eventually ease this evening and overnight with mainly cloudy skies and temperatures falling into the low 30s.
Improvements head our way for Monday with a gradually clearing sky in the afternoon and temperatures topping out near 40.
A quick clipper system will bring another chance of a wintry mix overnight Monday into Tuesday morning. We'll watch for impacts for the Tuesday morning commute before this clears out in the afternoon and temperatures recover to the mid to upper 30s. Wrap-around moisture associated with this system will bring a secondary chance for light snow late Tuesday.
A more quiet set-up begins Wednesday with skies becoming partly cloudy and high temperatures in the low 40s. We'll see some sunshine and mild temperatures to kickoff the month of February on Thursday with highs pushing the 50-degree mark. Looking cooler by late-week with more clouds and a chance of stray showers on Friday.
