INDIANAPOLIS — By the early afternoon, we'll start to see clouds gradually clearing with skies becoming partly sunny. The lingering morning clouds will hinder our warming trend today, keeping high temperatures only in the mid-40s. If you're headed downtown for the Pacers 7 p.m. tipoff, dress warm as temperatures will fall back into the 30s.
It will stay partly cloudy with areas of fog possible overnight and low temperatures near 30.
Clouds will continue to build in for Wednesday, but a shift in wind direction to the south will begin pushing slightly more mild temperatures into central Indiana. Look for highs tomorrow in the low 50s.
It will stay mainly cloudy as temperatures surge into the upper 50s Thursday afternoon. The warmer temperatures will come along with gusty southerly winds up to 35 mph at times.
Rain chances move in late Thursday with scattered rain showers possible through the day on Friday. Highs will still be near 60 Friday afternoon ahead of rain moving out and slightly cooler air returning to start next weekend.
Look for highs falling back into the low 50s Saturday under a partly cloudy sky. It will stay partly cloudy for the big game on Sunday as cooler air continues to move in keeping highs in the mid-40s. The overall temperature trend will continue to move closer to more seasonal levels with highs expected to be in the 40s and 30s into next week.
