INDIANAPOLIS — It was a soggy Halloween, but it wasn't a washout for trick-or-treating. We needed the rain and most of central Indiana ended up with .25"- .50". This is enough that this won't be the driest October on record. The .50" of rain puts 2024 as the 10th-wettest Halloween on record.
Skies will be clear overnight and it will be cooler with Friday morning temperatures in the lower 40s. A sunny Friday is in the forecast with highs in the upper 50s.
As we look ahead to the weekend, Saturday will be the dry day with a chance of rain on Sunday. Forecast highs are in the mid 60s on Saturday and upper 60s on Sunday.
The unsettled weather pattern will linger into early next week with rain and storm chances on Monday and Tuesday. It will be mild, too, with highs in the lower 70s.
