INDIANAPOLIS — A cold front moved through last night, bringing a few light showers and much colder air. The unseasonably warm weather has come to an end. It will be mostly sunny this afternoon and the wind will start to die down. The wind will turn out of the northwest, preventing temperatures from warming much.
Afternoon highs will be in the mid-50s today.
An area of low pressure will move over the Ohio River Valley this evening. This will bring increasing clouds into central Indiana, but the rain should stay in southern Indiana.
Temperatures will fall to 40° Friday morning.
Friday will be mostly sunny and seasonable, with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s.
Saturday morning will bring widespread frost, as temperatures fall into the low-to-mid-30s.
The weekend will run a few degrees cooler than average, but it will be sunny and dry.
A warmer and dry stretch will move in next week, as high pressure dominates, providing light winds and sunny skies.
