INDIANAPOLIS — Central Indiana received hail, lightning and heavy downpours of rain in storms that raised wind gusts to 60 miles per hour overnight. Some towns recorded more than an inch of rain as this spring-like storm marches to the east.

Some of you will want to check your property for potential wind damage. We did have pea-sized hail over many parts of Indiana early this morning.

Temperatures are dropping as the cold front has moved through, and it appears that for a few days, we will return to late-winter-type conditions. Look for mid-afternoon temperatures in Indianapolis to hover around the mid-30s.

Highs tomorrow and Friday will stay in the 40s, but just in time for the weekend, we will watch temperatures jump back to the 60s, and even near 70 by Sunday. Next week is a continuation of the unseasonably warm streak of weather with the 70s and a chance for storms Monday.
