INDIANAPOLIS — Rainfall totals from the past 24 hours are approaching 1" in some spots. Any rain is welcomed as we chip away at our rainfall deficit across the state.
This is beneficial rain as the entire state is still reporting rainfall deficits of over 1". The severe drought remains in northern Indiana with abnormally dry conditions being reported across most of central and southern Indiana.

Since rain is still falling across parts of central Indiana, these rainfall reports are likely to change but as of 9 a.m. On Sunday, Indy recorded 0.55" and Bloomington just jumped over 0.75."
Rest of today:
- Rain moving out from west to east
- Stray showers around the metro through 1 p.m.
- Rain exits the area by 4 p.m. with gradually clearing skies through the afternoon
- Central Indiana is sitting in the "warm sector" of this low pressure system bringing in more mild temperatures with highs rebounding in the upper 60s
- Gusty southwest winds up to 30 mph
We've got much drier weather if you're staying downtown for the Pacers 5 p.m. tip off. We'll be in the 50s with clear skies post-game.
Dry and cooler air tonight, Veterans Day and Tuesday
Skies will clear tonight and temperatures will drop back into the mid 40s. It'll be sunny but cool for Veterans Day with highs near 60 degrees. Staying clear and cool on Tuesday with patchy frost possible early with lows in the mid to upper 30s and highs only in the low 50s.
Our next weather system brings another rain chance Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. A few showers could linger into the day on Thursday.
