Bitter and blustery weather moves in | Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog

Strong winds and cold air will lead the way to feels-like temperatures in the single digits.

INDIANAPOLIS — Sunday was a wet and raw day across central Indiana. Areas in north central Indiana had some snow at times, with mainly rain across the rest of central Indiana. While most snow melted upon impact, here are some snow radar estimates.

Precipitation tapered off in the evening, as a few snow showers fell before midnight. No accumulation was expected.

The wind will shift out of the west overnight, and temperatures will fall into the low-to-mid 20s.

The skies will gradually clear to partly sunny by Monday afternoon. It will be a breezy day, with sustained winds from 10 to 15 mph. Gusts will be around 25 mph.

Temperatures will drop into the mid-teens Tuesday morning, with wind chill values in the single digits.

Tuesday will be a bright but bitter cold day, with afternoon highs only in the in the upper-20s to near 30 degrees.

A slow warming trend moves in on Wednesday, with the wind shifting out of the south. It will be windy too, with temperatures warming into the mid-40s.

Rain returns by Thursday evening and Friday, with falling temperatures throughout the day.
