INDIANAPOLIS — What a winterlike weekend. We had snow showers on Saturday and high temperatures 15 degrees colder than average both yesterday and today.
It will be cold tonight with temperatures falling into the lower 20s. This is cold enough for a hard freeze.
Because the growing season hasn't started we don't have a freeze warning from the National Weather Service. Still, some plants are already blooming. If there are blooms you want to save, you might want to cover them tonight.
The cooler than average chill will linger into early next week, with highs only in the 40s on Monday and Tuesday. The average high is now in the middle 50s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Monday with cloudy skies in the Tuesday forecast.
