INDIANAPOLIS — What a day it was weather-wise in Indiana Tuesday. Our high was only 26 degrees, exactly 20 degrees BELOW the average. It is still cold this morning, with many towns reporting wind chills in the single digits.
Here is the change, though...with winds shifting to the west-southwest and gusting to 30 mph, we will see a big rise in temperatures this afternoon. In fact, look for a high of 47 today and return to the low 50s tomorrow.
Thursday night and Friday, rain moves into Indiana, and the amounts could be significant. Some of our computer guidance suggests that we will receive a half-inch to an inch of rain in that time period. Despite above-average temperatures, rain comes back into play Sunday and possibly Monday, as well.
Notice that in our seven-day outlook our entrance to December comes WITHOUT snow in the forecast. That could change late next week, but a nice above-average trend awaits us early next week as well.
