I just walked out to the parking lot here at WTHR and there is a good inch or 2 of slushy snow downtown. A light mix of drizzle and a few flurries is falling downtown. It is mainly rain south to Bloomington and Columbus, but it is snow north. Notice the areas of darker blue near Lebanon, Frankfort, Marion and Muncie. That indicates some steadier snow. It's in this area where 3-5 inches of snow is possible.
This wintry mix will continue over the next couple of hours, before we get a break. As colder air arrives overnight, roads will become snow covered and slick with additional snow showers through Thursday morning. School delays are already coming in and it will be a slow drive to work Thursday morning.
