ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. — An Allen County deputy's dash cam caught the moment they got caught in an EF2 tornado.
It happened the night of March 31 in the area of Harlan, Indiana.
The video, released by the sheriff's department, shows a clear view of the roadway as the deputy approached Harlan.
The wind dramatically increases and the deputy pulls a little toward the side of the road and stops.
Suddenly, bands of wind and rain pick up and debris can be seen circling in front of the deputy's car.
The tornado ended up hitting homes, other buildings and uprooting trees.
Harlan is about 15 miles northeast of Fort Wayne.
