INDIANAPOLIS — Dry weather will start the weekend as the storm system from Friday exits to the northeast. Clouds will linger though keeping temperatures steady in the mid to upper 40s through the afternoon.
We'll still be in the dry and in low 40s around 8 p.m. for the start of the Big Ten Championship football game at Lucas Oil Stadium but some showers will return by the end of the game.
Scattered rain showers will then be likely through the overnight and into the morning hours Sunday. Temperatures hold steady in the low 40s. Rain will begin to taper off by noon Sunday with a gradual clearing through the afternoon.
Winds will pick up through with gusts from the southwest up to 30 mph at times. Temperatures will then recover to the upper 40s.
Another quick wave will push through approximately between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday. With temperatures nearing the freezing mark Monday morning, we could see a brief wintry mix before all precipitation exits the area by the mid-morning. Slightly cooler in the afternoon as skies clear with highs in the mid 40s.
The pattern stays unsettled for Tuesday with another rain chance, especially in the morning hours. Highs rebound to the upper 40s. We're looking mainly dry starting Wednesday lasting into next weekend with a nice warming trend taking highs back above average in the low 50s Thursday and into the upper 50s by Friday.
