INDIANAPOLIS — It's been an active day across north central Indiana where a bowing storm cluster produced wind damage in and around Lafayette, Peru and Marion. This atmosphere in this part of the state has been stabilized as a result with the focal point for additional heavy storms shifting east and especially south.
We expect coverage of storms to increase along and just south of I-70 in the coming hours. Any storms on radar today and tonight likely to produce very heavy rain rates exceeding 2 to 3 inches per hour.
Remain Weather Aware this evening.
