AES Indiana crews heading to Florida to help with Hurricane Milton relief efforts

The teams will work 16-hour shifts and stay on cots in the Raymond James Stadium.

INDIANAPOLIS — After two hurricanes brought devastating damage and conditions to Florida and other southern states the past two weeks, another group of Hoosiers is stepping in to help.

On Friday, five crews from AES Indiana are heading to the Sunshine State to assist with hurricane relief efforts. In total, 19 employees are expected to arrive Friday evening in Tampa with five bucket trucks, five digger trucks and one supply truck.

The teams will work 16-hour shifts and stay on cots in the Raymond James Stadium until relief work is completed and power is restored for residents in the area.

The AES Indiana crews are just a small portion of the 37,000 workers in Florida to help with clean up and power restoration.

The organization has already helped restore power to over 100,000 customers who were affected by Hurricane Helene.
