It will be a warm and windy Friday. It has been almost 6 months since we have had two 70 degree days in a row. We were in the 70s on Thursday and we will be back into the 70s on Friday. Afternoon temperatures will be in the range of 75 to 80 degrees. In fact, we should be in the lower 70s by noon Friday. There is a slight chance for a stray shower on Friday afternoon, but the big storms will be developing to our west with a developing weather system.

That system will bring the threat for severe storms from Missouri to SE Texas and heavy snow from South Dakota to NW Kansas. This storm system will have a local impact this weekend. We are forecasting the first wave of rain and storms to move into central Indiana early Saturday morning. The early timeline has rain and storms for central Indiana from about 4am to noon Saturday. There is a risk for a few strong/severe storms. If clouds linger on Saturday afternoon, our severe threat will be minimal. It will still be a day to be weather aware especially if you have outdoor plans. There will be the chance for a few dry hours Saturday afternoon. Another wave of rain and storms will be possible later in the day and Sunday will be damp at times and cooler. We will still be near 70 degrees on Saturday but fall back into the 50s on Sunday.

There will be a bigger drop for Monday. Highs will only be near 40 degrees and there will be some snow showers too. This will only last one day. Sunshine returns for Tuesday, with highs in the 50s.
