Live Doppler 13 weather forecast - 3/11/19 Sunrise update

We are off to a partly cloudy but really quiet start to our work week. Yes, this is a wonderful and quiet way to begin a late winter work week. Look for sunny afternoon skies and a high of 48

Morning sunshine tomorrow morning, but clouds later don't slow warming as highs near and climb above 50°, with even warmer air ahead mid-week.

Wednesday is interesting and the highs should climb above 60°, and a southeast wind increases with an approaching storm system. This feature eventually brings a wind-whipped Wednesday night and possibly some thunderstorms.

This area of rain should depart quickly Thursday morning to allow temperatures to soar well into the 70s. However, we're expecting this warmth to be associated with high wind and gusts potentially exceeding 55-60 mph in the afternoon/evening.

We'll need to monitor closely for Wind Advisories and/or High Wind Warning if this trend continues, and the potential is there for non-thunderstorm wind damage if the modeled strength of this system verifies.

Could we see storms Thursday afternoon? It's possible though most rain would be earlier in the day.

But this balmy air is a one-hit wonder this week with seasonably cold air quickly returning Thursday night. This sets the stage for a blustery Friday that features highs near 40, clouds, and some rain/snow showers. So right now looking like a chilly St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Indy.
