Live Doppler 13 Weather Forecast - 1/24/19 Evening Update

It will be a frigid Friday, with morning wind chills -20 to -10. Temperatures will be in the single digits through noon, with another chance for snow Friday night.

An arctic front is moving through central Indiana and the front is triggering some scattered snow showers. A quick coating of snow will cause some slick roads. The bigger story will be the temperature drop. Temperatures will fall into the teens by late Thursday evening and into the single digits by Friday morning. With winds WNW 15-25mph, wind chills will be in the range of -20 to -10 degrees. A wind chill advisory is in effect from 11pm Thursday through 1pm Friday.

There is some sunshine in the Friday forecast, but it will be very cold. Temperatures will still be in the single digits through mid-morning. Forecast afternoon temperatures are in the range of 15 to 20 degrees.

We are tracking a couple of fast moving weather systems late Friday through Sunday. Snowfall potential is on the minor side, but a few places might have an inch or 2 with a steadier burst of snow.

The next best chance for accumulating snow is on Monday. We will keep you updated on timing and totals. We are also want you to be thinking ahead to next week. There is more arctic air coming our way. Our early analysis indicates the potential for some central Indiana locations to have double digit below zero low temperatures and not make it above zero for a couple of days. This threat looks to develop Tuesday night through Friday. This is still several days away and we will keep you updated.
