Low clouds, fog and freezing drizzle are in the forecast again tonight. There were a few school delays and some accidents due to slick roads Tuesday morning and we are forecasting a repeat for Wednesday morning.
The rest of Wednesday will be cloudy, with some flurries and pockets of freezing drizzle. Afternoon temperatures will be in the lower and middle 30s.
The Live Doppler 13 Weather Team is tracking 2 weather systems for the end of the week and the weekend. Everyone is talking about the potential winter storm for Saturday, but we have to make it through a potentially slick Thursday. There is a wintry mix in the Thursday forecast. This will include some light snow and some freezing rain. Allow extra travel time on Thursday.
Now to the storm that is getting all of the attention...Saturday. We are tracking a potential winter storm with the potential for heavy snow across central Indiana. It is still too early for an accurate snow map. The track of the storm is key to snowfall potential. Where the snow mixes with or changes to a mix or rain, snow totals will be dramatically lower. We do think there will be an area of heavy snow on Saturday. We will keep you updated on the timing, track and totals. It will be good to stay weather aware through the weekend.
