Be weather aware on Saturday. A strong storm system is moving toward central Indiana. Rain and wind arrive tonight. There is a risk for severe weather on Saturday.

Saturday will be stormy, with heavy rain and damaging winds possible. Severe storm gusts may top 58mph. Non severe storm gusts are forecast at 40mph+. A wind advisory is in effect for the southern half of Indiana from 11am Saturday through 1am Sunday.

Temperatures will tumble behind this weather system from the lower 60s Saturday morning into the lower 40s Saturday afternoon. It will get cold enough for a quick burst of snow late Saturday into early Sunday. Temperatures by early Sunday fall into the upper 20s.

Sunday will be breezy and cold, with afternoon temperatures in the middle 30s.

We are forecasting a quiet weather pattern for the big travel days leading up to Thanksgiving next week. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday will be colder, with highs 35 to 40 degrees.

Right now we have Thanksgiving Day dry and in the 40s and Friday dry and near 50 degrees.
