INDIANAPOLIS — United Airlines announced Thursday it will be offering Hoosiers a new nonstop flight from Indianapolis to Orlando beginning Dec. 18. The new Saturday flight will take travelers to warmer temperatures through April 2022.
United announced it will also resume nonstop daily service from Indianapolis to Ft. Myers on Dec.16.
“This is our 22nd nonstop flight announced this year out of Indy, so we’re on a roll in working with our airline partners to get Hoosier travelers to their favorite destinations, quickly, easily and at the best price,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez.
United also added three new seasonal nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Charleston, SC, Portland, Maine and Hilton Head Island in May, and revived its nonstop daily flight to San Francisco in September after the global pandemic drastically impacted air travel in 2020.
United flies nonstop from Indianapolis to Denver, Newark, Washington-Dulles, Houston-Intercontinental and San Francisco. Flights to Ft. Myers and Orlando will be flown as United Express, operated by Republic Airways.
