PLAINFIELD, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning for eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 to be restricted starting Monday, Aug. 22.
Crews will be patching and laying permanent paint striping between Plainfield and Ronald Reagan Parkway.
Drivers should expect lane restrictions in both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 between State Road 267 and Ronald Reagan Parkway/Ameriplex Parkway. At least two lanes will be open to traffic in both directions at all times, except for short periods in the westbound lane of I-70 past the State Road 267 bridge.
Wide loads should be able to navigate through the work zone.
The restrictions are expected to last until Saturday, Sept. 3, weather permitting.
The project is part of the rehabilitation work on the State Road 267 bridge over I-70 and the Plainfield interchange.
New signs, lighting, signals and pavement markings along I-70 will be added before the project is finished in early summer 2023.
