INDIANAPOLIS — Frontier Airlines is giving travelers another option for direct flights from Indianapolis to Phoenix.
The inaugural flight from Indianapolis International Airport to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport took off Friday, Jan. 6.
The flight from Indianapolis to Phoenix will take place three times each week beginning Feb. 19. The flights will be offered less frequently through mid-February.
"Hoosiers now have a convenient and affordable way to escape the Midwestern winter for the popular vacation destination of Phoenix," said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial for Frontier Airlines, in a news release. "We're proud to build upon our partnership with Indianapolis International Airport as we bring consumers in Central Indiana even more 'Low Fares Done Right.'"
To celebrate, Frontier is offering fares as low as $49 for nonstop travel to Phoenix through March 8, 2023. Flights must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Jan. 11. The low fares must be booked at least seven days in advance, with the following days blacked out:
- Jan. 16-18
- Feb. 9-13
- Feb. 16-18
- Feb. 20
Frontier also offers nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando and Raleigh-Durham.
