INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A woman suffered critical injuries in a single-car crash early Thursday morning.
It happened at the intersection of Shelbyville Road and East Edgewood Avenue at around 5:30 a.m. The crash closed the intersection for over an hour.
The car went down an embankment and it took emergency crews nearly an hour to extricate the female victim.
She was taken to Methodist in critical condition.
Shelbyville Road was closed for several hours for the investigation. As of noon, all roads in the area were back open.
