INDIANAPOLIS — Eastbound Raymond Street was closed on Indianapolis' southeast side Thursday morning after a serious crash involving a pedestrian.
The crash was reported around 7:45 a.m. Oct. 31 near the intersection of East Raymond Street and Sloan Avenue, west of Emerson Avenue.
An IMPD spokesperson said a pedestrian who had been struck by a car was "awake and breathing" when taken to Eskenazi Hospital. Police at the scene told 13News the pedestrian's condition was serious, and the driver involved stayed at the scene.
Eastbound Raymond Street was shut down at South Sherman Drive during the investigation, the spokesperson said.
