INDIANAPOLIS — Eastbound Raymond Street is closed on Indianapolis' southeast side Thursday morning after a serious crash involving a pedestrian.
The crash was reported around 7:45 a.m. Oct. 31 near the intersection of East Raymond Street and Sloan Ave, west of Emerson Avenue.
An IMPD spokesperson said a pedestrian who had been struck by a car was "awake and breathing" when taken to Eskenazi Hospital. Police at the scene told 13News that pedestrian's condition was serious and that the driver involved stopped after the crash.
Eastbound Raymond Street is shut down at South Sherman Drive during the investigation, the spokesperson said.
