INDIANAPOLIS — New lane and ramp closures hit Interstate 465 on Indy's south side over the weekend.
According to INDOT, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 7 and lasting until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 10, motorists can expect the two right lanes of westbound I-465 between the I-65 interchange and the Kentucky Avenue exit to be closed for road work.
INDOT says crews will be working on bridge demolition, paving and work on overhead signs.
Ramps along I-465 westbound will also be impacted. The ramp from northbound US 31 onto westbound I-465 will be closed along with the Harding Street exit onto westbound I-465.
Additionally, once the lane closures end on Monday, new lane closures will begin. These new lane closures will impact westbound I-465 from I-65 to US 31. INDOT says crews will be doing bridge and pavement work.
Beginning June 10 at 9 p.m. and lasting until 6 a.m. the following morning, a single-lane closure and 20 minute intermittent stops will begin on westbound I-465 between Kentucky Avenue and the I-70 interchange for removal of overhead signs.
Finally, INDOT says Harding Street under I-465 will be reduced to one lane to thru traffic and one left-turn lane until August so crews can perform overhead bridge work.
