CARMEL, Ind. — An Indianapolis man was killed in a crash near Interstate 465 and U.S. 31 in Carmel Tuesday afternoon.
The Indiana Department of Transportation confirmed the crash happened Dec. 5 around 2:30 p.m. on the entrance ramp from U.S. 31 to I-465 westbound.
The Carmel Police Department said an investigation indicated the driver, identified by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office as 34-year-old Galindo Clemente, of Indianapolis, lost control of a pickup truck, which left the road and flipped.
Access to I-465 westbound from U.S. 31 in both directions was closed until around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Carmel Police Department at 317-571-2500.
(Editors note: The Hamilton County Coroner's Office said it was initially given an incorrect spelling of the victim's first name. The change has since been made.)
