Mooresville woman killed, juvenile taken to hospital after Hendricks County crash

The crash happened Saturday morning just south of Danville.

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — The Hendricks County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash that happened Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to a report of the crash in the 1400 block of South State Road 39, just south of Danville, around 10:15 a.m. Dec. 16.

The sheriff's office said the driver, identified at this time as a 52-year-old woman from Mooresville, died at the scene. Medics took a juvenile female passenger to a hospital as a precaution, but deputies said she was not injured in the crash.

Investigators believe the vehicle was going northbound on State Road 39 when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Officials do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The southbound lanes of State Road 39 were closed between Lincoln Street and County Road 200 South but have since reopened.
