Northbound I-69 reopens following deadly crash near Fishers High School

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday.

FISHERS, Ind. — A deadly crash caused significant delays Friday morning on Interstate 69 in Fishers.

According to INDOT, all lanes of I-69 northbound were closed near Fishers High School around 4:30 a.m. Nov. 22 due to a fatal crash involving a semi.

Indiana State Police was on the scene conducting a crash reconstruction and warned drivers to expect long delays. Almost three hours later, ISP confirmed that the northbound lanes were reopening, but traffic would still be slow until the back up cleared.

Traffic was diverted onto exit 205 during the cleanup and investigation.

Police have not released additional information on the circumstances of the crash.
