BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — A 23-year-old Crawfordsville man is dead after crashing a car into a tree Friday morning.
A good Samaritan called the Boone County Communications Center around 2:45 a.m. about a single-vehicle accident in the area of county roads 300 south and 1200 west.
Deputies found a silver Nissan, driven by Christopher Harris, that had crashed into a tree.
A preliminary investigation believes Harris was driving westbound on County Road 300 South when his car left the roadway and struck a tree.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
Another deadly crash happened in Boone County Friday morning.
Police confirm two people died in the crash, a 14-year-old girl and the male driver, whose age was not immediately available. Both were declared dead at the scene of the crash, near County Road 650 east, by the Boone County coroner.
Four other kids ranging in age from 12 to 16 were also in the crashed SUV and taken to Riley Hospital for Children and St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Police did not share their conditions.
