Here's when Allisonville Road at 146th Street will reopen in Noblesville

When it reopens, there will temporarily be no left turns allowed in any direction, but through traffic and right turns will be permitted in all directions.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Allisonville Road at the intersection of 146th Street is set to reopen.

The Hamilton County Highway Department announced the area will reopen Sunday, June 9 at 6 p.m. after being shut down for 90 days due to construction.

The $44 million project, which started a year ago, aims to reduce congestion and enhance safety by transforming the intersection into a grade-separated interchange.

Despite minor delays due to rain and eclipse-related work stoppages, the department said the project remained on schedule.

"When it reopens, there will (temporarily) be no left turns allowed in any direction, but through traffic and right turns will be permitted in all directions," said Matt Lee, bridge program engineer for the Hamilton County Highway Department. "We also plan to set the bridge beams before Allisonville reopens to avoid overnight closures in the near future."

In an effort to manage traffic, a temporary signal will be installed until the Allisonville Road roundabout is operational.

"Our team has worked diligently to stay on schedule, and we are optimistic about completing the entire project by July 2025," said Brad Davis, director of the Hamilton County Highway Department. "We appreciate the community's patience and understanding during this construction period."

The worksite speed limit is set at 35 mph, and delays can be expected during peak hours. The department is asking motorists to drive with caution through the intersection, and consider alternate routes when possible.
