2 killed in single-car crash outside of Lawrence Central High School

Around 3 a.m. Sunday, Lawrence police responded to a report of the fatal crash on the road just south of the high school.

LAWRENCE, Indiana — Two people were killed in a car crash in Lawrence early Sunday morning.

Around 3 a.m., Lawrence Police Department officers responded to a report of the fatal accident at the intersection of 56th Street and Edlou Place, in front of Lawrence Central High School.

Shortly after LPD arrived on scene, both people in the single-car crash were pronounced dead by medics.

The coroner's office identified the victims in the crash as 31-year-old Marquis Deangelo Price and 20-year-old Daria Linay Gudger.

LPD's Investigation Division is currently investigating the incident. LPD is reminding all drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic laws to help prevent these fatal accidents from happening in the future.
