INDIANAPOLIS — One person died following a multi-vehicle crash involving an ambulance on the north side of Indianapolis early Sunday morning.
IMPD officers responded to 5515 Michigan Road, near Kessler Boulevard West Drive, on reports of a crash just after 2 a.m. Dec. 17.
Police said an ambulance was going southbound on Michigan Road when another car lost control and crossed the center line into the path of the ambulance. The passenger of that car was pronounced dead when officers arrived, and the driver was transported to a local hospital.
Both passengers of the ambulance were also transported to a local hospital. Another vehicle was also struck in the aftermath of the collision, but the occupants of that car left the scene.
