State survey looking for Hoosiers to weigh in on air quality solutions

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management's survey will help establish how they state improves air quality.

INDIANAPOLIS — The state launched a new site for Hoosiers to voice their concerns about Indiana's air quality.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management received $3 million in grant funding through the Climate Pollution Reduction Program.

As part of that, IDEM created a web page for Hoosiers to weigh in on how to spend that money to improve air quality.

The survey will be open through Nov. 29.

IDEM will then submit its plan to the EPA in March.

The state might then be able to apply for a second round of grants. With that, they could begin greenhouse gas reduction strategies and ways to reduce other harmful air pollutants.
