BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. — It's not something you see everyday, a lunar rainbow.
A staff research associate, at the Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center in California, spotted one Monday night and was able to take a picture of it.
The lunar rainbow or "moonbow" was caused by light coming off of the moon and some rain sprinkles above the desert.
It's a little hard to see with it being night and all, but you can definitely make it out in the picture.
