How to watch: Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever open WNBA preseason Friday night

The Fever travel to Dallas for a preseason matchup Friday night, and fans can watch Caitlin Clark's debut for free.

INDIANAPOLIS β€” The Caitlin Clark Era begins Friday when the Indiana Fever make their preseason debut in Dallas.

The Fever and Wings will play at 8 p.m. EDT May 3, and the game is available to watch for free on the WNBA app. Three other preseason games, including Indiana's home game against Atlanta on Thursday, May 9 (7 p.m. EDT) will also be broadcast for free on the league's app.

The Fever's preseason home game was previously scheduled for Friday, May 10 but was moved to Thursday after the Indiana Pacers advanced to the second round of the playoffs and will now play the New York Knicks in Game 3 that night.

The WNBA app can be downloaded for free via Google Play or the App Store.

What is the WNBA League Pass?

WNBA League Pass is a subscription streaming product featuring live and on-demand WNBA games. League Pass offers live games, full-length game replays, classic games from previous seasons, live game DVR and multi-game viewing online. 

Fans can access the League Pass on the WNBA App, enabling them to watch games on their phones, tablets or other connected devices. League Pass games can also be viewed on desktop here, or on Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and Roku. 

How much is the WNBA League Pass?

WNBA League Pass is $34.99 for an annual subscription or $12.99 a month for a monthly subscription.

College students in the U.S. can subscribe to WNBA League Pass at a discounted rate of $19.99 a year. 

What games can I watch using WNBA League Pass? Are there blackouts?

Every out-of-market game, excluding those broadcast nationally, can be viewed using the WNBA League Pass. Use the zip code checker on the League Pass FAQ page to determine what games are available in your area.

Games that are not available live on WNBA League Pass will be available on demand after the game is over.

Fever on WTHR and WALV 

The Fever open the regular season on Tuesday, May 14 at Connecticut.

As the Local TV Home of the Indiana Fever, WTHR/WALV will broadcast 16 Fever games during the upcoming season. 

The broadcast schedule will include the home opener against the New York Liberty on Thursday, May 16.

Ten of the games will be shown for free over the air on WTHR, and six of the games will be on WALV, which carries MeTV programming and is on Channel 13.3 and 46.1.
