BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — A pair of Indiana Fever players pulled off a surprise that will put a smile on your face.
Aliyah Boston and Victaria Saxton visited the Bowling Green women's basketball team Monday, but apparently did not let head coach Fred Chmiel know they were coming.
The teammates were recording when Chmiel, who was an assistant coach during the pair's college career at South Carolina, walked into the room, catching the shocked look on his face.
After setting his lunch down, Chmiel and his former players locked in a big embrace.
"nothing better than surprising the best of the best ❤️coach Fred we missed youuuu," Boston tweeted.
"We love you Coach Fred♥️," Saxton wrote.
Boston and Saxton later attended the Falcons' practice, posing for a photo with the team.
The Fever played in Chicago Sunday afternoon and have a break in the schedule until Thursday night's game in Seattle against the Storm. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 10 p.m. EDT.
The game can be seen live on MeTV (WALV Channel 13.3 or 46.1).
