INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has been named WNBA Rookie of the Month for the fourth time this year.
The WNBA announced Friday, Sept. 20 that Clark had been awarded Rookie of the Month after previously earning the award for the months of May, July and August. Angel Reese was named Rookie of the Month in June.
In September, Clark averaged 22.5 points, 9.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game. She also led the WNBA in assists.
The award comes on the heels of a career-high 35 point game against the Dallas Wings on Sept. 15 in which she also broke the WNBA rookie scoring record with 769 points. Compared to other rookies, Clark has led her class in points, steals, field goals and minutes per game.
Clark broke the WNBA single-season assist record with 337 assists during the regular season.
The Fever play their first playoff game since 2016 on Sunday when they visit the Connecticut Sun at 3 p.m.
