INDIANAPOLIS — It was another sellout crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the Indiana Fever during Monday night's game against the Connecticut Sun.
After a four-point loss, fans told 13News this was the best they've seen the Fever play so far.
"It was very exciting. We were very hopeful, we thought they played much better and they seem to be gelling a lot better as a team," Fever fan Jana Diehl said.
Fans say there were highs and lows throughout the game, even when Caitlin Clark was out at the end of the first half with an ankle injury.
"With her coming in, you know, it's created a lot of hype in the city, but with her going out, it makes it tougher," Fever fan Chris Eley said.
But fans said this game was a step in the right direction for the team's first win.
"I think they are looking at their weaknesses and their strengths and just trying to gel as a team," Diehl said.
The team's next game is Wednesday, May 22 at the Seattle Storm. Tipoff is set for 10 p.m., and the game will air live on WTHR.
