Fever Minute | Indiana takes on the Los Angeles Sparks

The Fever are the hottest team in the WNBA heading into a home game against the struggling Sparks.

INDIANAPOLIS — Time for your Fever Minute ahead of tonight's matchup between the Fever and the Los Angeles Sparks. Let's nix the three keys to the game and just acknowledge one thing: The Indiana Fever are the hottest team in the WNBA, and it doesn't feel particularly close at this point.

Indiana is now 6-1 since the Olympic break, fresh off a win over the Dallas Wings on Sunday — their fourth straight win.

The Fever are now 17-16 on the year and over .500 for the first time since – get this – the 2019 regular season. This is transformational.

They have scored 100 points in back-to-back games and they are averaging over 90 points per game in the seven games post-break. This is mainly due to the dynamic duo of Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.

Mitchell is coming off a 36-point performance on Sunday, which makes seven straight games over 20 points for her.

Clark continues to rewrite the record book. Remember this — the Rookie of the Year conversation is over. It's a declaration at this point. Not only is she the bonafide Rookie of the Year, but she is also firmly entrenched in the WNBA MVP conversation.

The Fever are the most exciting team in the league, and they have another test tonight at home here against the Los Angeles Sparks. That game tips off at 7 p.m. and is on WALV.
