Fever Minute | How the Indiana Fever can finish the regular season strong

The Fever are locked-in as the 6th seed in the WNBA playoffs. The Mystics aren't in contention. Here's why tonight's game still matters.

WASHINGTON D.C., DC — Here is your Fever Minute ahead of the Fever's regular season finale Thursday night against the Washington Mystics.

  1. Keep The Main Thing The Main Thing – The Indiana Fever's playoff positioning is set in stone. There's no result of this game that can dictate what happens. However, a win would secure the Fever's first winning season since 2015. There's still a lot to play for internally. Don't overlook this game, get the win, and go from there.

  1. Defense - This is the part of the Fever's game they have worked on incessantly this season. Every time the Mystics and Fever have played, Washington's post players have been in double figures. Additionally—despite their record—the Mystics are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the league. Tighten up on defense ahead of the postseason interiorly and exteriorly.

  1. Momentum - There's nothing but pride to play for on Thursday night if you look at it from a standings perspective. However, momentum is a very real contributor. You can gain some with a good performance in the regular season finale heading into the postseason. Finish the season strong and notch your franchise's first winning record since 2015.

That's your Fever Minute presented by CareSource. Fever and Mystics tip off at 7 p.m. on WTHR.
