INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana Pacers All-Star forward Jermaine O'Neal says he's shutting down for the rest of the regular N-B-A season with a sprained right shoulder.
O'Neal is among the N-B-A leaders in scoring with 25 points a game. He was hurt March third when his right arm pulled back by Denver's Francisco Elson on a drive to the basket. He has not played since then.
Since O'Neal's injury, the Pacers are 5-and-2 heading into Sunday's home game against New Jersey.
O'Neal was suspended for 15 games after the November brawl with Detroit Pistons fans that led to the season-long suspension of Ron Artest and a 30-game suspension for Stephen Jackson.
